Shortstackers at Full Tilt Poker will be looking for a new home in 2010 as the online poker giant is set to change their buy-in rules in the New Year.

Earlier this year PokerStars changed their cash game buy-in rules to a 50BB minimum. Their rivals at Full Tilt will soon follow suit leaving many shortstackers, especially those from America where finding an online poker room is difficult enough already, struggling for a home from 2010.

A Full Tilt Poker representative said on the Two Plus Two forums; “That’s not all we’re going to do, but that’s the biggest change. That’s all I can say about that until the update.”

Many players agree that shortstacking is generally bad for online poker. Shortstackers bring less money to the table and often leave a game following a good win or a double up.

So it seems online poker is set for a shake up again in 2010 and the majority of players agree the latest round of Full Tilt changes are for the better!
